Lately, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China displayed a list of outstanding collectives and individuals in defending COVID-19, and Wondfo’s task force for developing 2019-nCoV POCT rapid test is honored to be an outstanding collective. 



Racing for Life, We Dare to Fight

When coronavirus was first reported last year, Wondfo, facing the rapidly sprawling virus, immediately organized three task forces for R&D of medical devices for diagnosing COVID-19 infection and successfully developed 2019-nCoV rapid antigen test in limited time. In January, 2020, one of our task forces, with Chairwoman Wang being the task force leader, shouldered two national projects delegated by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Racing for life against virus, Wondfo employee were fully devoted to the development of COVID-19 rapid tests. Chairwoman Wang, as a former professor, sedulously discussed experiments with researchers; researchers split every second for faster development; license registrars commenced clinical trials fearlessly in hospitals designated for treatment of infected individuals; manufacturing workers spared no efforts to make COVID-19 tests distributed as soon as possible…
 
On 23 February, 2020, Wondfo 2019-nCoV Antibody Test was approved by National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for emergency use, being one of the first batch of coronavirus on-site rapid antibody tests. Right after state approval, Wondfo donated 50,000 test kits to authority for assisting frontline physicians in diagnosis.
 
On 3 November, 2020, Wondfo 2019-nCoV Antigen Test was also approved by NMPA for emergency use, becoming one of the first batch of coronavirus antigen tests.
 
In early 2021, a letter was sent to Wondfo by the Ministry of Science and Technology, appreciating Wondfo’s contribution in the emergency research during the pandemic prevention and control. Currently, COVID-19 related products, with CE marks and local import licenses, have been distributed to have played their roles in over 100 countries and region around the globe.


At the frontline, Wondfo Staff Are with You

Meanwhile, about 60 of our staff rushed fearlessly to countries that were suffering severe pandemic in order to support the fight with latest techniques. Our staff visited customers, approached users’ feedbacks and solved their problems in over 20 countries including Germany, UK, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Nepal, Pakistan, etc. Besides, we strictly implement our CSR to race for life. In August, we donated various COVID-19 tests and other medical materials against the pandemic to the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs Republic of Indonesia and Royal Thai Army Radio and Television Station; in October, we donated Wondfo coagulation analyzers and test reagents to Ethiopia Cardiac Center, and we donated diagnostic analyzer and reagents in a campaign held by Pink Lotus Ethiopia. And we have constantly received letters or certificated of appreciation from various institutions.

As a leader in POCT industry in China, Wondfo, with cutting-edge techniques, will continue to assist in the global prevention and control of the pandemic. We strive with hope to eliminate the virus by the end of 2022.
